Ten years driving Lyon Airport to the Alps.

Since 2016 we have made LYS the door of the ski season. Ten years of meeting long-haul flights from the Gulf and Asia rolling out of Terminal 1, and of picking up Air France arrivals through the SkyTeam lounge exit at Terminal 2. Same trip, two doors — the chauffeur is briefed on the flight, not on the guess.

What comes next is the drive. From Saint-Exupéry the A43 climbs east to Chambéry and forks: the Autoroute Blanche A40 to Sallanches for Megève, the A43 Tarentaise to Moûtiers for the 3 Valleys and Val d'Isère. Two hours forty in dry conditions to the Courchevel Croisette, three hours to Le K2 Chogori in a February storm. Every car in the fleet — V-Class 4MATIC, S-Class, Range Rover Vogue — runs winter tyres from November to April, chains on board when the passes require them.

Private chauffeur registered on the French EVTC roll, licensed for airport transfers across Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. We hold Lyon Saint-Exupéry every day of the ski season on the Tarentaise passes, from the last week of November to the closure of the resorts in late April, and we run the same road year-round for arrivals at LYS heading to the mountain.

Our difference

Four certainties at Lyon Airport.

Experience, fleet, terminals, chauffeurs — tested every winter across LYS Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, from arrivals hall to the last kilometre in Courchevel or Val d'Isère.

Local team since 2016
Every chauffeur on our LYS roster has run the Lyon → Alps corridor for at least three winters. They know where the A43 stacks past Chambéry on a Saturday, and which arrivals gate at T1 empties fastest for a family flying in from Dubai.
Fleet Mercedes 2026
Every car in the fleet — V-Class 4MATIC, S-Class 2026, Range Rover Vogue — runs winter tyres from November to April. Chains on board when the passes require them.
WhatsApp 24/7
Send us your flight number and pickup point on the day of arrival. Commercial or private, delayed or on time — we reply on WhatsApp inside the hour, every hour of the season.
T1 and T2, both doors
Long-haul from Dubai, Doha or Hong Kong lands at Terminal 1. Air France and Schengen at Terminal 2. We meet at the right one — you never look for the driver.
Wide-body inbound

Long-haul arrivals at LYS Terminal 1.

Emirates from Dubai, Qatar out of Doha, Etihad from Abu Dhabi, Cathay off the Hong Kong leg — the wide-body traffic into Lyon lands at Terminal 1. One baggage hall, one arrivals kerb, one greet. The flag on the tail changes; the protocol on the ground doesn't.

Take flight EK81. Wheels-down mid-morning at Saint-Exupéry, EK82 restarts engines the same afternoon on the return leg. Your chauffeur is on the ground before the jet bridge is out. The Doha rotation runs on a similar clock, the Etihad slot from Abu Dhabi lands a shade later, the long Cathay leg out of Hong Kong crosses eight time zones and finishes at this same kerb. We track the wheels-down time — commercial and private both — not the one printed on your itinerary. If the slot slides an hour on a holding pattern over the Rhône, the greet window slides with it. Waiting time on a fixed transfer is included.

Clear customs and step onto the arrivals level. Two ways to find the car. A chauffeur at the pillar with a name-board on stock, printed on the day and held at eye-level. Or a WhatsApp locator sent the moment you clear passport control, with a photo of the vehicle and the exact pickup-bay number. Corporate accounts usually take the board. A lot of private clients want the phone to buzz once. Tell us which one on the booking form. The rate is fixed at confirmation. A diverted approach, a slow gate release, a fuel-price move overnight — none of it re-opens the invoice. What's on the receipt at the end of the ride is what you saw at booking.

Vehicle choice at T1 splits on luggage load. A first-cabin or business flight in with a full hold — a family in for the season, an executive with wardrobe cases — sits in the Mercedes V-Class 4MATIC. Seven captain's chairs, cabin partition, and a trunk that swallows the lot. A solo passenger with a briefcase and a rollaboard rides in the S-Class 2026. Both cars run winter tyres from November through April, and both climb into the Alps without a swap mid-route. The season doesn't decide the car; the number of bags in the hold does.

Domestic & Schengen

Terminal 2 and the SkyTeam lounge — kerb pickup or lounge-exit greet.

T2 at Saint-Exupéry is the domestic and Schengen hall. Air France off Roissy and Orly. KLM off Amsterdam. Delta and the rest of the SkyTeam partners. The traffic is denser than at T1, the walk out to the kerb shorter, and the greet is calibrated to which side of the lounge you come out of.

The SkyTeam lounge sits at the mezzanine, above the departures level. Elite Plus and Skypriority passengers on a layover often prefer to be met at the lounge exit rather than in the arrivals crowd one floor below — one flight of stairs and a name-board is enough. Corporate accounts request that pickup point up front; a partner coming off a morning Air France shuttle and running to a downtown meeting doesn't want to weave through arrivals carrying a coat, a laptop and a folder.

The other half of T2 arrivals prefer the standard kerb — right at the arrivals-level exit, no lounge stop. Same protocol, same fixed rate, no re-quote for a delayed connection out of CDG. Whichever end you want, tell us at booking. If you decide on the plane, WhatsApp the change on final approach and we shift the pickup point.

Vehicle default at T2 is lighter. A single traveller in the S-Class 2026. A small team in the V-Class 4MATIC when the flight lands with a group. Winter tyres carry both cars into the Alps without a return to Lyon for a swap.

Alpine transfers

From Lyon to Courchevel, Val d'Isère, Val Thorens, Megève.

Four resorts, one motorway spine east out of Saint-Exupéry. The chauffeur reads the day and picks the line — a Saturday changeover, a plough window on the last climb, a family with skis and a booster seat. What counts on the receipt is the door-to-door fixed rate, quoted before the run.

Courchevel 1850

LYS → CV1850 · 2h45 drive

The Croisette frames the season — Cheval Blanc, Les Airelles, Le K2 Palace stacked along the ridge above the pistes. A V-Class 4MATIC takes a family in with a season's cases; the S-Class 2026 fits a couple for a weekend. Winter tyres from November through April across the fleet, and the driver knows the resort's PPR windows on peak-arrival days.

See the Courchevel chauffeur page →

Val d'Isère

LYS → VDI · 3h00 drive

The high Tarentaise, past Bourg-Saint-Maurice, up to 1850 m at the head of the valley. Le K2 Chogori and Airelles Val d'Isère hold the season suites; L'Avancher and Le Blizzard take the weekend rooms. A Saturday changeover pushes the honest arrival closer to three hours; a Sunday morning, the road is empty.

See the Val d'Isère chauffeur page →

Val Thorens

LYS → VT · 2h30 drive

Europe's highest ski resort at 2300 m, at the head of the Belleville valley. Fahrenheit Seven and Pashmina Hotel take the long stays; Koh-I Nor sits above the resort on the west flank. The final ridge closes to soft tyres from December; every vehicle in the fleet runs winter rubber and carries chains as standard.

See the Val Thorens chauffeur page →

Megève

LYS → MG · 1h30 drive

The shortest of the four. Four Seasons Megève on Mont d'Arbois, Chalet Zannier on the eastern flank, Fer à Cheval at the village heart. A transfer that leaves Lyon after lunch and puts you at the hotel bar by early evening. No last-kilometre climb — the village entry is direct.

"We called at 22:40 from Airelles Val d'Isère — snow was starting to fall on the Iseran and our jet had been rerouted to Chambéry. Nicolas was outside our door at 22:52 with a V-Class already warmed. He knew the RD902 salt-truck schedule better than the concierge."

"Three winters in a row with Leader in Val d'Isère. Always the same chauffeur. He knows our daughter's name, the shortcut that avoids the Saturday changeover jam at La Daille, and he always keeps a blanket for her in the Range Rover."

"The Bourg-Saint-Maurice pickup at midnight is what makes them different. Our Eurostar Snow Train arrived late — nobody else was answering. Their driver had been waiting since 23:15, standing on the platform with a hot coffee."

Frequently asked questions

Every recurring question.

Terminals, transfer times, delayed flights, ski luggage, peak-week booking — the essentials for arriving at Lyon Saint-Exupéry and heading to your resort.

01
Where do we meet our chauffeur at the airport?

In the arrivals hall, after baggage claim, inside the terminal. Your chauffeur holds a name-board (tablet), wears a professional uniform, assists with your luggage and guides you to the vehicle parked in the airport's professional pickup area.

We send you the full contact details of your assigned chauffeur no later than 3 hours before your arrival: name, phone number and WhatsApp. Your chauffeur is reachable directly on WhatsApp for any last-minute change or question, and speaks both English and French.

Yes. Our fleet is Mercedes V-Class, S-Class and Range Rover Vogue, 2025 and 2026 models, all equipped for winter conditions with 4MATIC all-wheel drive, winter tyres, and snow chains on board when the passes require them.

We track your flight from take-off and adjust the pickup time to the real landing time, whether the flight is early or delayed. Once your flight has landed we offer 60 minutes of free waiting time for commercial arrivals and 30 minutes for private aviation arrivals. No extra charge, no re-quote.

Yes. Every chauffeur on our roster is bilingual English and French, and briefed on your itinerary the day before your arrival. If you prefer to communicate in English on WhatsApp during the trip, we handle it seamlessly.

Winter routing is a working discipline. When the A43 Tarentaise runs to plan B4 or the Autoroute Blanche is capped, we shift to the parallel network — RN90, Col de la Madeleine detours, or the rail-then-road hybrid via Moûtiers — and the office keeps DIR Centre-Est bulletins open in real time. Every vehicle carries factory winter tyres and chains, and the chauffeur decides on the ground.

Regularly. Part-Dieu is the natural rail gateway into the Alps — TGV to Moûtiers runs in about one hour fifteen — and many clients combine train and car door to door. We meet you at the platform's Voie A/B end, luggage in hand, or drop you kerb-side on the boulevard Vivier-Merle. Perrache is served identically for southern connections and Rhône Valley itineraries.

Yes — the return leg is booked in the same reservation, with the pickup point at your chalet or hotel and the drop-off at T1 or T2 based on your departing airline. We propose a suggested pickup time based on your flight departure, road conditions on the day, and any airline-recommended check-in window. You confirm it or adjust it by WhatsApp the day before.

Peak weeks — Christmas, New Year, French February half-term, and the UK half-term — fill a week or more ahead. February Saturdays are the tightest slot of the season: we recommend booking at least a week in advance to guarantee vehicle availability so we hold the vehicle and the chauffeur you want. Off-peak weeks accept booking a few days out with WhatsApp confirmation.

American Express, Visa and Mastercard settle at the point of service; SEPA or SWIFT wire is standard for scheduled programmes. Corporate accounts run on-account with a single monthly invoice, net thirty, tied to the PO field entered at booking. Multi-currency billing (EUR, GBP, USD, CHF) and traveller-level cost coding are supported. Tariffs remain on quote and lock in once confirmed.

Yes. We provide baby seats and booster seats at no extra charge — please specify your child's age and weight when booking so we equip the vehicle before your arrival.

More than 48 hours before the service: full refund. Between 48 and 24 hours before: 50% refund. Less than 24 hours before: no refund. Send the cancellation request on WhatsApp for immediate processing.
